Now to the recipe…
Bhindi Crisps Ingredients:
- Lady’s finger/Okra – 1/4 kg
- Besan Flour – 4 tbsp
- Corn Flour – 1 tbsp
- Rice Flour – 1 tbsp
- Salt – as needed
- Chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Curd/Yogurt – 2 tbsp
- Oil – to fry
Method:
- Wash and wipe okra. Cut them into bite sized strips. To this add besan flour, rice flour, corn flour, salt and chilli powder. Mix it gently with your hands so that the okras are coated well.
- Add yogurt to the mixture and mix well with light hands. Keep this aside for 10 mins. This way the okras will get marinated well.
- Heat a pan with oil and fry the marinated okras until golden brown. Drain them in paper towels.
Simple & easy crunchy bhindi crisps are ready.
Serve it as a snack or with rice.
Tips:
- Do not skip to add curd. Curd reduces the stickiness of okra and also adds a slight sour taste to the crisps.
- U can shallow fry the bhindi crisps too.
- Ensure oil is hot, else the bhindi crisps will absorb more oil and also will not be crispy.
