Idli/Dosa Milagai Podi or Chutney Powder is an item that is always available in my pantry. It is a must for idli/dosa even if I have any number of other side dishes like Tiffin Sambar or Coconut Chutney. I make sure that a fresh batch of this podi is refilled just before the old batch gets over. It goes well when combined with gingely oil or ghee. I had posted this recipe long time back. Thengai Podi is a flavouful podi made by roasting coconut along with a few more ingredients. It goes well with hot steamed rice when topped with ghee or even oil. Paruppu Podi is an essential podi variety in any South Indian household. I would say, this is the simplest & quickest podi/powder. As u know homemade is the best, I try to stock this paruppu podi, but every time I make a batch it gets over in 2-3 days 🙂 We not only have this with rice, but also with dosa, idli, chapathi etc so no wonder it gets over..
