Beetroot is not my favourite. Hubby & Chotu love it though. I usually make this Beetroot Fry for chapathi/rice & love this Halwa!. This time I made this Beetroot Pulao as an one pot meal. It was perfect & quick for a lazy weekend. The lovely colour will attract kids and people who do not like beetroot like me will not make a big fuss! Beetroot Chutney, the very name is so unique.. I am not a big fan of beetroot, all I end up making is this simple poriyal or this soup! My favourite is halwa though 🙂 I can’t think of anything else. I had some beetroots sitting in the fridge and did not want to make the same old dishes as above. So made this chutney, though I was skeptical in the beginning. Trust me it tasted so good! Went on well with idli, dosa and even with hot rice.

Beetroot Fry is a simple yet yummy stir fry which I make quite often. I am always in the look of some sabji to pair with roti and dal, which is our usual lunch menu during week days. This Beetroot Fry has a simple twist which makes it suitable for both roti as well as rice. Though am not a big fan of beetroot, Chotu and hubby love it. U can either grate the beetroot or chop it finely like I have done. I personally dont prefer the grating part, Lazy me!!
