November 5, 2018 Diwali SweetsHoli Recipes  No comments

Wishing u all a very happy Diwali. I am sure all of you are ready with your preparations. This Pista Badam Burfi is a simple last minute sweet for all those busy people. This version is made with condensed milk. All u need are a few simple ingredients. If u do not want to use condensed milk, check my Kaju Katli recipe and replace it with pista/badam powder. Unlike other traditional sweets like Mysore Pak this does not need a lot of ghee. This can be made in 15-20 mins. Post with video..

Here is the video..

Now to the recipe..

Pista Badam Burfi Ingredients:

  • Pistachios – 3/4th cup

  • Take a mixer and grind the pista and badam into a powder. Grind it in one go without stopping so that the nuts do not release oil. Heat a pan and add the condensed milk + powdered nuts.

  • Keep stirring in medium heat. Add a tsp of ghee and green food colour(if using) and mix well. It will get thick.

  • Add cardamom powder and mix well. It will become non-sticky and leave the sides of the pan. This is the right stage. Transfer to a greased tray.

  • Level it with a spoon or spatula. Top it with crushed nuts. Press it gently and slice it while it is still warm. Enjoy!
