No Yeast Paneer Pizza – Tawa Pizza – Oven Pizza

Making pizza perfectly at home has always been a dream. Personally I dont prefer using yeast. This is a No Yeast Paneer Pizza with 2 options – with and without oven. Do check out the video below for all the details you need to know for both the options. I really love the Indianised version of Pizza with the addition of Paneer. We miss that here. So finally made it YAY! Trust me this is a No fail recipe. I tried both ways – baking it in the oven and cooking it on the tawa. Both came out well. Pizza Sauce recipe HERE.

[Preparation Time-30 mins : Cooking Time- 15-20 mins : Resting Time – 30 mins]
No Yeast Paneer Pizza Ingredients:
For the Dough:
- Maida – 3 cups
- Sugar – 1 tsp
- Salt – 1 tsp
- Baking powder – 1 tsp
- Baking Soda – 1/2 tsp
- Yogurt/Curd – 1/3 cup
- Olive Oil – 2 tbsp + 1 tsp
For the Toppings:
- Paneer cubes – 2 cups
- Salt – as needed
- Chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder – 1/2 tsp
- Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
- Oil – 1 tsp
- Onion – 1
- Capsicum – 1
- Tomato – 1
- Cheese – as needed
- Pizza Sauce/Tomato Sauce – as needed
- Chilli flakes & Mixed Herbs – as needed
Method:
- Take all the ingredients mentioned under “For the dough” in a wide bowl. Mix well so that all the ingredients combine. It will resemble crumbles and will have a grainy texture. Add required water and knead it into a soft dough. Knead for 5 mins, smear it with oil and keep the dough aside to rest for 30 mins.
- Meanwhile get the paneer ready. Take paneer cubes in a bowl. Add salt, chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala & 1 tsp of oil to it. Mix to combine and let it marinate till the dough is ready. Take half of the dough and form a ball.
- Dust it with flour and flatten it with your hands. Using a roller pin, make a round thin base. Press out the edges & transfer it to the baking tray. Poke it with a fork all over the base randomnly. Smear the base with pizza sauce.
NO YEAST PANEER PIZZA IN THE OVEN:
- Add sliced onions, capsicum, tomato & the marinated paneer. Top it with grated cheese. Sprinkle chilli flakes & mixed herbs on top. BAKE IT IN A PRE-HEATED OVEN @ 200 DEG CELSIUS FOR 15 TO 18 MINS.
NO YEAST TAWA PIZZA:
- Use the other half of the dough. Roll it thin. Transfer the base to a tawa. Poke it with a fork and add the topppings and seasonings. COOK IT COVERED IN LOW FLAME FOR 20 MINS.
So there you go with both the methods of No Yeast Paneer Pizza.
Choose whichever method suits you!
Tips:
- The dough should be soft and pliable. I have not used yeast to make the pizza dough, still it was soft and fluffy.
- U can use any toppings of your choice like sweet corn, olives, etc..
- For the tawa pizza – If you are doubtful about the base being cooked properly, cook the base separately for 3-4 mins just like a chapathi and then add toppings and follow the rest of the procedure. Cook it for a lesser time may be 15-18 mins.
- Do not over bake or over cook. It might turn hard.
- Roll the base evenly and as thin as possible.
