Mango Lassi

I love Mango Lassi !! Whenever we go to an Indian restaurant here, the first thing I order would be this Mango Lassi. As u know homemade is always the best, this tasted much better than the restaurant ones. Its a simple and easy to make recipe too. Just pick the mangoes carefully, they must be fully ripe. It is a thick, rich and perfect drink for summer..

Now to the recipe…

[Preparation Time – 15 mins : Cooking Time – NIL]

  • Mango – 2 cups (chopped)
  • Curd – 2 cups
  • Milk – 1/2 cup (see tips)
  • Sugar – 4 to 5 tbsp (see tips)
  • Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp

  • Wash and peel the mangoes. Chop them roughly leaving the seed. Take chopped mangoes, curd, milk, sugar and cardamom powder in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour in serving glasses.

That’s it!! Mango Lassi is ready.

Serve chilled

  1. Adding milk is optional. I have added just to adjust the consistency of Mango Lassi.
  2. Adjust sugar according to the sweetness of the mango u use.
  3. U can add a few strands of saffron for a good flavour.
  4. The color of the mango lassi depends upon the mango used.
