Usually in the local tea shops they make it as masal vadai/paruppu vadai (with chana dal). I prefer it with urad dal as Chotu likes the Medhu Vadai best!! So I am more than happy to make this as I can add some spinach leaves to it Its the best snack to have on a cold/rainy day over a cup of coffee or tea.
