Paneer Tikka – How to make Paneer Tikka

March 12, 2018 Holi RecipesPaneer Dishes  2 comments

Paneer Tikka is a delicious starter made by arranging paneer & veggies in a skewer and then grilled/baked in an oven or tandoor. I made it in a normal pan on stove top and came out really well. It tasted much better than restaurant ones as u all know it is a very popular starter in any restaurant menu. So nothing can stop u if u dont have an oven. I will try the oven method and update here when possible. Check my Paneer 65 recipe too.

Here is the video..

Now to the recipe.

Method:

  • Chop the paneer, capsicum & onion into cubes. Keep it aside. Take all the ingredients mentioned under “for the marination” in a wide bowl. Mix so that all the ingredients blend well. Add the cubed paneer and veggies to it.

  • Mix and marinate (keep in the fridge) for 30 mins. The more the tastier. Then arrange them in skewers or tooth picks alternatively. Fry it in pan with little oil by turning it and cooking on all sides until golden brown.

Thats it! Yummy Paneer Tikka is ready!

Serve hot!

Tips:

  1. Try and chop the paneer and veggies in the same size as much as possible.
  2. Marinating for longer time gives more taste. If possible leave it for more time. U can also leave it in the fridge overnight.
  3. Do not overcook as the paneer will become rubbery. It should be soft.
