Woah!! Its been 2 wonderful years since I started blogging!! 🙂 My blog has kept me busy, improved my cooking skills/my way of presenting food, given me a new identity, made me feel proud and what not!!! The happiest moments have always been a comment/feedback, a phone call or a message/picture from my readers and friends who are following MyMagicPan!! A BIG BIG THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart to all of you!! Hope to get your continued support and encouragement..
This Dry Fruits Laddu is purely a post to celebrate this occasion. Its a very easy, simple and SUGAR FREE sweet!! Yes u read it right!! It is SUGAR-FREE!!
Here is the video..
Now to the recipe…
[Preparation Time-10 mins : Cooking Time- 5 mins]
Dry Fruits Laddu Ingredients:
- Dates – 20
- Fig – 3 to 4
- Almonds – a handful
- Pistachios – a handful
- Cashewnuts – a handful
- Ghee – 1 tsp
Method:
- Remove the seeds from dates. Chop the dates and figs roughly. Keep it aside. Heat a pan and dry roast all the nuts until slightly brown. Let it cool.
- Grind it in a mixer into a coarse powder. Keep it aside. Now in the same mixer grind the chopped dates and figs into a coarse paste. Heat a pan with ghee.
- Add the coarsely ground dates mixture and nuts mixture. Saute in low flame for a few mins or until well combined. This will not take more than 3-5 mins. It should not stick to the pan. Let it cool. Take a small amount of mixture and shape it into balls while it is still warm.
Thats it!! Easy and Yummy Dry Fruits Laddu is ready.
Store in air tight container.
Tips:
- There is no specific measurement to make this Dry Fruits Laddu. U can increase or reduce each dry fruit or nut according to your taste and availability.
- U can add raisins along with dates and figs too.
- U can add a pinch of cardamom powder and make the laddu. I have not added any as I wanted it as is.
- The above measurements yields 12-15 laddus.
- This does not require much ghee, just a tsp would do.
- While shaping the laddus, ghee is not required as it will not stick to your palms.
- This stores well for 4-5 days in room temperature. Am sure it will be finished by then 🙂
