Thandai – this was totally a new term to me until I started blogging. I had no clue what it was. But this recipe would be circulating in the food blogging world during Maha Sivaratri or during Holi. Out of curiosity I found out what it was. I should say it is a very interesting and flavourful drink not only for the festival but also as a perfect summer treat. Today is a special day for MyMagicPan!! It is MyMagicPan’s 3rd blog anniversary!! I just can’t believe it’s 3 full years already!! Blogging has always been fun, in fact most of the times addictive. There have been times when I plan so much for MyMagicPan rather than other important things ???? especially when we go on a vacation.  Whatever may be, my blog has kept me busy and happy/proud!! I might be repetitive, but it is so true that it has given me a whole new identity!! All of your comments, feedbacks, phone calls, messages & pictures truly overwhelm me!! A HUGE HUGE THANK YOU to each and everyone of you to have supported me all these years & for encouraging me in the future as well!!

Javvarisi Payasam is an easy and creamy payasam variety. It is a very easy one to make. I just love those cute little pearls in the payasam. The only trick is to cook the javvarisi/sago correctly. This Javvarisi Payasam is with sugar. A perfect and divine dessert for any special occassion!! Any South Indian festive meal will not be complete without payasam and Vadai..

My all time favourite is Moong Dal Payasam!!

I dont need any special occasion to make a dessert!! Do u?? This Badam Kheer is one such rich and creamy dessert that appeared in my kitchen for no reason  Though I have tasted it many times, never tried at home during recent times. It can be made with less effort too. The only job in this is to soak and peel the almonds. If u can get blanched almonds like me, this is a super-easy and quick treat for sudden cravings!!

I love any kind of payasam, or any sweet for that matter. Moong Dal Payasam / Paasi Paruppu Payasam is a very easy South Indian payasam (kheer). As Karthigai Deepam is on Dec-5th, thought of posting this payasam recipe. My version of Moong Dal Payasam is with coconut milk. It is very flavourful and just tastes divine.
