I have been craving for some kulfi since a long time. As mangoes are in season made this Mango Kulfi. This is a short cut version of the traditional method with condensed milk and cream. Saw this recipe in milkmaid website and tweaked it a bit to arrive at this recipe. Trust me this is so easy and can be made in a few mins. But the boring part is to wait for it to freeze/set. Its worth it! 🙂 The smell of mangoes along with cream and cardamom is divine! Do check my simple Mango Ice Cream recipe too..

Here is the video…

Now to the recipe..

Method:

  • Take all the ingredients – mango, cream, milk, condensed milk and cardamom powder in a blender and blend it smooth. U may choose to blend the mango first and then add the rest of the ingredients.

  • Pour it in matkas or popsicle moulds or kulfi moulds. Garnish with chopped pista/badam and cover it with kitchen foil. Freeze it for 6 hours or overnight until set.

Thats it! No Cook Mango Kulfi is ready!

Enjoy this dessert this summer!

Tips:

  1. Adjust condensed milk according to the sweetness of the mangoes u use. Mine were very sweet so used only 1/4 cup. U can use 1/2 cup if u prefer.
  2. Do not blend the mixture for a long time or else you would end up making butter.
  3. If u dont have matkas or moulds, just use an ice cube tray or any disposable cups. Anything would just work well.
  4. U can use whipping cream or even homemade fresh cream.
