I am not a big fan of Coconut Ladoo or Coconut Burfi. But when I saw this recipe in the nestle milkmaid channel, was really tempted to try it. To my surprise all of us really loved it. It is so simple and quick to make this Coconut Ladoo. U need to mix just 2 ingredients, cook it for 4-5 mins and shape it once cool. Tadaaa!! Melt in the mouth Coconut Ladoo will be ready!! So do try this yet another simple sweet for this Diwali..

Now to the recipe..

  • First it will be crumbly and separated. Cook in low-medium flame for 4 to 5 mins. It will become non-sticky and come together. Add the roasted nuts, mix and switch off the flame. Transfer the mixture to a plate.

Tips:

  1. I have used dessicated coconut. U can use fresh coconut too. If using, dry roast the grated coconut until all the moisture is gone without changing its color and then add the condensed milk. Rest of the procedure is the same.
  2. Do not over cook, else the Coconut Ladoo will become hard.
  3. Using almonds or any other nuts is optional. U can skip if u dont want.
  4. U can add a pinch of cardamom powder for an extra flavour.
  5. It makes about 12-15 ladoo’s with the above measurements. Stays well for 2 days in room temperature. If using beyond that, pls refrigerate.
