Coconut Chutney is the most wanted chutney in any South Indian household for idli/dosa. This Ginger Coconut Chutney is a simple and flavourful one for idli/dosa. It can be made in just 10 mins. Ginger Coconut Chutney My Magic Pan

 

[Preparation Time-10 mins : Cooking Time- 5 mins]

Ingredients:

  • Coconut – 1/2 cup (grated)
  • Ginger – 1 inch piece
  • Green chillies – 2
  • Tamarind paste – 1/4 tsp
  • Salt – as needed
  • Oil – 1 tsp
  • Mustard – 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves – a sprig

Method:

  • Take grated coconut, green chillies, ginger, salt & tamarind paste in a mixer. Grind it into a semi coarse paste with little water. Heat a pan with oil and temper with mustard and curry leaves. Transfer it to the chutney.

Thats it!! Ginger Coconut Chutney is ready!!

Serve with idli/dosa.

Tips:

  1. U can use red chillies instead of green chillies and make it as a red coconut chutney too.
  2. Adjust green chillies as per your taste preferences.
  3. Do not miss to add ginger. It gives a unique flavour to the chutney.
