Coconut Chutney is a popular and favourite chutney variety in any South Indian household. This Coconut Mint Chutney is a variation to the normal Coconut Chutney with the additional bursting flavours of mint and ginger. This is mostly found as one of the accompaniments for idli/dosa in any restaurant menu along with sambar, kara chutney, coconut chutney. Among all the other chutneys, this Coconut Mint Chutney is my personal favourite!!

Now to the recipe…

Tips:

  1. Ginger and mint go well with each other. U can add ginger or skip it as per your choice.
  2. No need to saute the mint leaves for a long time. Just until it shrinks.
  3. Adjust green chillies according to your spice levels.
  4. Add as much or less of mint leaves as per your choice. The color of the Coconut Mint Chutney depends upon the amount of mint leaves u use.
