Wish you all a very happy Tamil New Year. Raw Mango Sweet Pachadi is a simple and yummilicious pachadi for Tamil New Year. It is sweet, spicy & sour making it a perfect side dish for rice. This also goes well with chapathi and bread. Mango Pachadi is a must for Tamil New Year. The idea is to have all the tastes in one dish. Neem Flowers can be added to get a dash of bitterness too. Tips:

  1. Choose mangoes that are slightly ripe. It will be perfect for this mango pachadi.
  2. Add chilli powder and jaggery according to the sourness of mangoes. If the mangoes are very sour add more, else reduce.
  3. You can boil and cook instead of pressure cooking.
  4. If neem flowers are available, it can be added while tempering.
  5. We like our mango pachadi to be slighlty mashed. You can keep it chunky too.
