Mango Smoothie – Mango Almond Smoothie

We love mangoes. Mango is in season, though I dont have a choice of varieties available as in India here. I got a box of mangoes last week, so do expect a couple of more recipes with mango!! This Mango Smoothie is an easy and filling smoothie, perfect to kick start a busy working day! Without much fancy ingredients and with very less effort this Mango Smoothie can be whipped up in a few mins.
Now to the recipe..
[Preparation Time – 10 mins : Cooking Time – NIL]
Ingredients:
- Ripe Mango – 1
- Almonds – 8 to 10
- Honey – 1 tbsp
- Milk – 1 cup
Method:
- Wash and peel the mango. Discard the seed, chop into cubes and keep it ready. Take the chopped mangoes, almonds, milk and honey in a mixer. Blend well until smooth and creamy.
Thats it!! Thick and creamy Mango Smoothie is ready!!
Serve chilled!!
Tips:
- U can add sugar or honey according to the sweetness of the mango. U can skip it too.
- Soak the almonds in milk for about 15 mins for ease of grinding, though I did not.
- Use mangoes that are not fibrous!!
