Banana Oats Smoothie is a power packed breakfast smoothie that can be filling through the morning. This is a brilliant choice of breakfast for those busy mornings. If you are bored with the routine kind of breakfast recipes, opt for this banana oats smoothie which can be made in just 5 mins. Its healthy, easy, quick and delicious too.. Is that not convincing enough??
Now to the recipe…
[Preparation Time- 5 mins : Cooking Time- less than 5 mins]
Ingredients:
- Banana – 2 nos
- Oats – 1/2 cup
- Milk – 1 cup
- Almonds – 5 to 6
- Honey – 1 tbsp (optional)
Method:
- Heat a pan and dry roast oats until u get a nice nutty aroma. Keep it aside to cool down. Take a blender and add chopped banana, almonds (I used blanched almonds), milk and honey.
- Add the roasted and cooled oats and blend it into a smooth puree. If u like biting into small bits of almonds, do not blend too much.
That’s it!! Banana Oats Smoothie is ready.
Serve chilled.
Tips:
- U can use sugar instead of honey or skip both.
- U can add any nuts of your choice like cashews, walnuts etc.
- U can add 1/4 cup of yogurt along with the above ingredients too.
- U can top the banana oats smoothie with finely chopped almonds as garnish.
