Masala Tea – Masala Chai – How to make Masala Tea
-
Tea is a very common beverage in any Indian household. I had recently posted the Masala Tea Powder recipe.. All these days, we had been consuming normal tea i.e plain tea. After making the masala tea powder, we just loved our tea. This Masala Tea is a such a comforting drink that can be had almost any time during a day!! It is simple to make too. Am sure most of you might know how to make a tea, this post is especially for beginners and bachelors!!
Am truly addicted to this Masala Tea as it is freezing here.. This masala chai along with some snack is a divine combo!! Check out my snacks recipes HERE!!
Post updated with video. Check below 🙂
Now to the recipe…
[Preparation Time-5 mins : Cooking Time-10 mins]
Masala Tea Ingredients:
- Milk – 1 and 1/2 cups
- Water – 3/4th cup
- Tea powder – 2 tsp
- Tea Masala powder – a pinch
- Sugar – as needed
Method:
- Take a sauce pan and add the water. To this add the tea powder and tea masala powder. Let it boil for a couple of mins. This way all the flavours will get infused in the water.
- Now add the milk to it. Bring it to a boil and reduce the flame. Let it boil for a couple of mins. Now all the flavours will blend well.
- Finally add the sugar and mix well. Switch off the flame and filter the it.
Thats it!! Flavourful Masala Chai is ready!!
Serve hot!!
Tips:
- Adjust sugar according to your taste buds.
- U can adjust the milk and water ratio according to your preference. We always prefer a medium light Masala Chai. If u want it more thicker reduce the amount of water and add more milk.
- The amount of tea powder depends upon the tea powder and how strong u want it. I have used 3 Roses brand for making this Masala Chai.
- Do not reheat the tea. Consume it right away once it is made.
- Add sugar finally and switch off the flame.
- The above measurements makes Masala Chai for 2 people.
