Dal Khichdi is a simple one pot meal that can be made in a jiffy. It is a combination of rice and green moong dal along with spices in onion tomato gravy. This is yet another easy to make recipe for working women and bachelors.

Easy Dal Khichdi is ready. Serve it hot topped with a dollop of ghee along with raita, pickle or papad.

  1. U can add vegetables too. I prefer my dal khichdi either plain without vegetables or as above with potatoes alone.
  2. U can omit garam masala and whole garam masala spices while tempering too.
  3. U can add slit green chillies and adjust chilli powder accordingly.
