Wishing u all a very happy new year!! I always like to begin the new year on a sweet note. This Kalakand is an easy-peasy sweet that can be made in just 15 mins with very simple ingredients. In fact just 2 main ingredients. The traditional method to make Kalakand is quite a long process, but this a quick and shortcut method with condensed milk. I made this for a small get-together at home and it was a super hit. I adapted this recipe from nestle channel and tweaked it a bit. Can the 1st post of the year be without a video?!? Definitely not!! 🙂 Another simple sweet woth condensed milk is 10 Min Palkova.

Badusha – Badusha Recipe with video
October 27, 2016 Diwali Sweets, Holi Recipes
-
Badusha is a very popular South Indian sweet. I have been wanting to make this recipe since a very long time. Honestly this is my first attempt. My mom is an expert in making Badusha. But she is so good at it that she makes it effortlessly without measuring. So I was literally pestering her to make it so that I can give the correct measurements here and finally made it. Measurements are very important in making Badusha, especially the butter and cooking soda. Recipe is with full video, so u cannot go wrong anywhere.

-
Badam Halwa is a rich and delicious sweet made with almond paste, sugar and ghee. There is no sugar syrup consistency needed in making this Badam halwa. Is it not good news?!? Unlike other sweets, this Badam Halwa does not need a lot of ghee. I have posted a Badam Burfi recipe earlier. Its a microwave version. Kaju Katli is yet another favourite of mine. Try anyone of these if u are a fan of cashew/badam based sweets.

Pakodas always have a high demand at home, am sure it is the same in every household. This Paneer Pakoda is an easy and tempting pakoda variety. I totally forgot to use a litre of milk and realised it only when it went overdue the expiry date. It curdled upon boiling which was what I expected!! So I added some curd and made it as paneer/cottage cheese. Make sure to check that the paneer is not sour. If it is please do not use it, if it tastes good continue to use it.
