Jeera Aloo – Cumin Roasted Potato

February 19, 2015 Dry SabjiPotato Recipes  12 comments

Jeera Aloo is a simple yet mouth-watering side dish with potatoes spiced with cumin seeds and freshly ground curry powder. It gives a magical taste to it. Potato is our favourite, its almost everybody’s favourite. We love potato in any form, be it a dry sabzi like Baby Potato Fry or a gravy like Dum Aloo. This Jeera Aloo goes well with roti or rice. I enjoy eating it with bread too.

Now lets get cooking…

Tips:

  1. The freshly ground powder adds a magical flavour, so do not use store bought powders.
  2. While dry-roasting make sure not to burn the ingredients. It will spoil the whole recipe.
  3. Instead of amchur powder u can squeeze 1/2 a lemon finally.
