Chutney varieties are always welcome at home, though Chotu’s favourite is Tomato Chutney. This Capsicum Chutney is a very flavourful and delicious chutney. This is the first time I am trying this. Peerkangai Chutney is an easy variety of chutney that pairs well for idli/dosa or even rice. I usually make this when we get bored with the normal Coconut Chutney, Tomato Chutney. Peerkangai known as ridge gourd has a mild sweet taste by itself. I have added coconut in this Peerkangai Chutney. U can skip it and make it as is too.

Paruppu Thogayal is a traditional chutney recipe that goes very well with rice. Paruppu Thuvaiyal and vatha kuzhambu along with papad is a wonderful combo. Chow Chow is called Chayote in Engish. I normally make kootu with it. Chotu is not a big fan of kootu varieties, so I end up making this Chow Chow Chutney to sneak peak this veggie. Its an easy and simple chutney and the good news is that no coconut is needed in this recipe. Pairs perfectly with idli/dosa.
