Atta Halwa or whole Wheat Flour Halwa is an easy sweet/dessert that can be made in less than 20 mins. This is a no fail recipe. With just 3 ingredients, this is a quick sweet for sudden cravings or any special occasion. This halwa is smooth, moist & it will just melt in your mouth. My mom makes this when she makes ghee. She uses the same pan in which she makes ghee to make this Atta Halwa, the idea being – ghee sticking to the pan will not go waste. Am wondering myself, how I missed to post this recipe here for so long. Anyways here it is, the humble Wheat Flour Halwa. This is a very good combo with Poori in North India.

Paneer Tikka – How to make Paneer Tikka

March 12, 2018 Holi RecipesPaneer Dishes  2 comments

Paneer Tikka is a delicious starter made by arranging paneer & veggies in a skewer and then grilled/baked in an oven or tandoor. I made it in a normal pan on stove top and came out really well. It tasted much better than restaurant ones as u all know it is a very popular starter in any restaurant menu. So nothing can stop u if u dont have an oven. I will try the oven method and update here when possible. Check my Paneer 65 recipe too.

Carrot Halwa is an all time favourite. It is a divine treat when served warm on a winter day! Yumm!! I love it when made with Delhi carrots. Was so happy and surprised to see them here during last week’s shopping as it is hardly available here. All we get are those English carrots. The red colour of Delhi carrots is so attractive. So it is so obvious that I made this Carrot Halwa. I have already posted a microwave version of this Halwa earlier. Check it HERE. This is an elaborate method, Of course it is lip-smacking and worth the time & effort. Do check my Beetroot Halwa & Potato Halwa too.

Vazhaipoo Vadai – Banana Flower Vada

February 6, 2018 Snacks / StartersVazhaipoo Recipes  4 comments

Vazhaipoo Vadai has been in my list since a long time. Finally made it. This is quite similar to Masal Vadai with a few changes in the ingredients. And as the name suggests Vazhaipoo is the star of this recipe. Vazhaipoo or Banana Flower is a veggie that all might like, especially because of its long cleaning process. I had recently posted about how to clean it. Once you are done with that process this Vadai is an easy one. Trust me these vadais with Vazhaipoo are so crispy.

Zucchini Fritters – Courgette Fritters

January 30, 2018 Kids BaySnacks / Starters  2 comments

Zucchini(in American English) or Courgette(in British English) is a summer squash veggie. I always had a doubt if both the names meant the same one. Finally googled it and found out. I get it here in the name of Courgette. Many of them know by the name Zucchini. I use it quite often in making Quesadilla. So this time tried this Zucchini Fritters for a change. It tasted awesome. It is a perfect after school snack for kids or even during tea time. I saw this recipe in a magazine and changed it a bit to suit our taste buds. These fritters will be crispy outside and soft inside. The best part is u can shallow fry this.
