Egg Pepper Fry or Spicy Masala Egg Fry is an easy, spicy egg fry recipe. No chopping, grinding is done here. All we need are a few ingredients to make this delicious recipe. I had no plans of making a post for this recipe as it is damn easy. Since many of you pinged me for the recipe when I posted it in my stories, I thought of sharing it here. Goes well with biryani or even curd rice. It is a super quick one too. Most of the times I end up making this Egg Curry but this has become a recent favourite too. This is specially my favourite as it can be made in just 20 mins. 🙂 Do check out the quick video.
Here is the video..
Now to the recipe..[Preparation Time-5 mins : Cooking Time- 20 mins]
Egg Pepper Fry Ingredients:
- Eggs – 5
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Salt – as needed
- Chill powder – 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
- Coriander powder – 1/2 tsp
- Garam Masala – 1/2 tsp
- Crushed Pepper – 1 tsp
- Coriander leaves – few
Method:
- Take the eggs and add it to boiling water. Boil it for 10 mins in medium flame. We need hard boiled eggs. Once boiled, cool it down and remove the shell. Cut the eggs into halves and keep it ready.
- Heat a pan with oil. Add salt, chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala & crushed pepper. Mix well. Keep the flame in low always. Add 2 tbsps of water to it and mix.
- Add the halved eggs, cut side down and fry for a few mins. Then flip and fry. Flip again until all the masala is coated on the eggs and the eggs are roasted well. Garnish with coriander leaves and switch off.
Thats it! Egg Pepper Fry is ready!
Serve hot with biryani.
Tips:
- Make sure to keep the flame in low always. Else the masalas will get burnt.
- Pepper is the hero of this recipe, U can skip chilli powder and adjust pepper powder accordingly.
- U can add ginger-garlic paste for flavour.
- Adding water helps to prevent the masalas from getting burnt.
