Sambar is one of the most essential/common dish in any South Indian household. I have posted a couple of tiffin sambar varieties earlier. This drumstick sambar is for rice. I know there is nothing new in a sambar recipe, but I would like to have a collection of basic recipes too, especially for beginners. Capsicum Besan Sabji is a quick stir fry recipe that goes well with rice or roti. It can be made easily with the ingredients commonly available in your pantry. This is a favorite since my childhood. Paruppu Podi is an essential podi variety in any South Indian household. I would say, this is the simplest & quickest podi/powder. As u know homemade is the best, I try to stock this paruppu podi, but every time I make a batch it gets over in 2-3 days 🙂 We not only have this with rice, but also with dosa, idli, chapathi etc so no wonder it gets over..
It tastes divine when served with hot steaming rice & a dollop of ghee along with papad. An addition of any kootu variety would be a feast.

U can serve these koftas as a snack by itself or dunk it in a rich creamy gravy and serve as a side dish.
