Tawa Paneer Masala – Paneer Recipes

December 5, 2017 Dals/GraviesHoli RecipesPaneer Dishes  No comments

Paneer is always a favourite at home. This Tawa Paneer Masala is full of flavours. Its a super-yummy, semi-dry curry that goes well with roti & pulao varieties. Ideally as the name suggests it is made in a tawa. Since I do not have one ideal to make this, I made it in my usual pan. Its the quickest paneer recipe unlike the usual Paneer Butter Masala or Shahi Paneer. Not much planning is needed here as it just calls for the usual ingredients available in the pantry. A good dose of capsicum adds a magical flavour.

March 11, 2017 Lunch Menu Series  9 comments

This week’s lunch menu is a simple North Indian Lunch Menu. This is actually my kind of lunch, though I would not include a rice variety during week days. I so so love North Indian lunch. I can live on phulkas for days together. This menu includes Phulkas, Dal Fry, Peas Pulao & the most wanted Paneer Butter Masala. U can keep this combo as an idea and change the sides according to your taste buds and preferences. Have left links below for all that is included in this menu as well as other suggestions!

Paneer Makhani

September 12, 2016 Dals/GraviesPaneer Dishes  6 comments

Paneer is always considered as a special dish as far as our family is concerned. Am sure it would be the same for all vegetarians. This Paneer Makhani is an easy and simple side dish that goes well with roti, naan or pulao varieties. Paneer is cooked in a thick and rich tomato-cashew base gravy. Without onions, this Paneer Makhani really stands out when compared to the usual Paneer Butter Masala or Shahi Paneer.

Gobi Manchurian

August 4, 2015 Dals/GraviesGobi/Cauliflower  12 comments

Gobi Manchurian is a popular Indo – Chinese recipe. It is found in most of the Indian restaurant’s menu. This can be made as a gravy or dry version which can be had as a starter. This Gobi Manchurian is a gravy version that goes well with Vegetable Pulao, Jeera Rice or rotis/naan.

For me the biggest problem in making this Gobi Manchurian recipe is – I have to literally hide the fried cauliflower pieces from Chotu and hubby. Else by the time I finish making the gravy, there will be nothing left!!

Shahi Paneer is an exotic side dish made with paneer in a thick, creamy and spicy gravy. This goes well with roti, naan or any pulao varieties. Its very popular and can be found in almost any restaurant’s menu. There are some variations in this recipe. I have used a tomato based gravy as per our family’s taste buds.  Check my other paneer recipes HERE!!

Dum Aloo

Aloo / Potato is an universal favourite and we are no exception to it. Whenever I think of making any gravy the first dish that comes to my mind is something with paneer. The next would be this Dum Aloo. Its a very flavourful, rich and creamy side dish with baby potatoes. Goes very well with rotis, phulkas, or any pulao varieties.
