I love Biryani, especially Paneer Biryani. It is a festive meal for almost all vegetarians. This Paneer Biryani is a simple one pot meal made in a pressure cooker. Unlike the normal Veg Biryani there is not much chopping work or grinding involved here. The only step that u have to plan ahead is to marinate the paneer. I usually make Biryani during weekends. Poori and tomato thokku has always been my favourite combo since childhood. This Palak Poori is a slight twist to the normal poori. Its a very good method to sneak-peek some spinach for kids who are fussy about it. This does not require any side dish as such, just goes well with any pickle or simple raita. Sambar Sadam / Sambar Rice is an easy one pot meal. This is a simpler version of Bisibelebath and is less spicy. It is a flavorful mixture of rice, dal and mixed vegetables cooked in tamarind extract along with freshly ground spices. It tastes great when hot or cold making it a perfect lunch box item. The best combo would be with potato fry or raw banana fry. It tastes good even with papad.
