Vanilla Ice Cream – No Ice Cream Maker

Making Ice Cream at home was a long time dream for me!! I tried this basic Vanilla Ice Cream and it was a super hit at home. This is a simple and creamy ice cream that can be made very easily without an ice cream maker and with just 3 ingredients. The best part is – its an eggless and no cook ice cream.. Is that easy and convincing enough to try at home?? Post updated with video.. Do try my strawberry ice cream too.

[Preparation Time-15 mins : Freezing Time – 8 hours : Cooking Time- NIL]
Vanilla Ice Cream Ingredients:
- Cream (with a min fat content of 35%)- 2 cups
- Condensed Milk – 1 can (400 gms)
- Vanilla Essence – 1 tsp
Method:
- Take fresh cream in a bowl and beat it with an electrical beater. U will be able to see the cream thickening and increase in volume. Blend it for about 2-3 mins or until u reach soft peaks. Now to this add condensed milk.
- Add the vanilla essence and blend again for about 2-3 mins or until u reach stiff peaks. Make sure to scrape the edges while blending.
- Transfer this to a container. I used my cake tray and covered it with kitchen foil. Freeze it over night. It will be perfectly set the next day!!
Creamy and yummy Vanilla Ice Cream is ready.
Scoop out and serve/enjoy!!
Tips:
- After the vanilla ice cream is set, let it be outside in room temperature for 3-5 mins. Then scoop and serve.
- U can use a normal mixie/mixer to make this ice cream if u do not have an electric beater. The timings above may not suit though. It might only take a few seconds to get the right consistency. So be careful and do not over do, else u would end up making butter and not ice cream.
- This vanilla ice cream does not require to be blended in between freezing. No ice crystals will be formed in this method and it will be very creamy.
PS: After receiving a lot of clarifications regarding what cream I used, was it double, heavy, fresh etc…. To make it more clear, I have changed the ingredients from “Fresh Cream” to “Cream” (with a min fat content of 35%)

Madam you have not added sugar… So isn’t there any need of sugar?
Condensed milk is already sweetened, so there is no need for extra sugar.
