Tomato Gotsu or Thakkali Gotsu is an excellent side dish for idli/dosa. It is a very easy and quick fix sambar kind of side dish. When u run out of time, this can be made very quickly without much preparation work. Chotu is a big fan of hot, crispy dosa and sambar. I mostly make this tiffin sambar or this tiffin sambar. This Tomato Gotsu is a nice variation to it. Chotu calls this tomato sambar.

Chow Chow is called Chayote in Engish. I normally make kootu with it. Chotu is not a big fan of kootu varieties, so I end up making this Chow Chow Chutney to sneak peak this veggie.
