7 Cup Burfi is an easy sweet to make for Diwali or any other special occasion. This is the first sweet I successfully made without my mom’s help after marriage. The procedure is very simple too. No sugar consistency is needed. You just need to mix 7 cups of ingredients together and slowly cook it. I pretty much told the recipe here itself!! Now u know why it is called 7 Cup Burfi. So trust me this is a perfect sweet to make for beginners. Recipe updated with video.. Do try my Besan Laddu if interested.

Badam Cashew Burfi – Kaju Badam Katli

October 20, 2019 Diwali SweetsSweets/Desserts  No comments

Badam Cashew Burfi or Katli whatever u call it is an exotic sweet that calls for very less ghee. To be precise just a teaspoon or two. This Badam Cashew Burfi is a simple one, meaning NO SUGAR SYRUP CONSISTENCY is required making it doable even for beginners. Can be made in just 20 mins so not much kitchen time during this busy festival season. How easy is that?! I have already posted a similar recipe of Kaju Katli but with 1 string consistency. Tried this version without that and came out perfect too. Check out the video..

Kaju Pista Roll

October 16, 2017 Diwali SweetsHoli RecipesSweets/Desserts  2 comments

Kaju Pista Roll had been in my plan list for last year’s Diwali. Somehow could not manage to make it. This time when I made the Kaju Katli video, made it as an extended version. It is in fact an extension of Kaju Katli as the base layer is the same with an additional pista filling. Made it as a video recipe too. So happy about the results as it tasted just like the ones we get in sweet shops. With this my sweet collection for this year’s Diwali is over.

Badusha

Badusha is a very popular South Indian sweet. I have been wanting to make this recipe since a very long time. Honestly this is my first attempt. My mom is an expert in making Badusha. But she is so good at it that she makes it effortlessly without measuring. So I was literally pestering her to make it so that I can give the correct measurements here and finally made it. Measurements are very important in making Badusha, especially the butter and cooking soda. Recipe is with full video, so u cannot go wrong anywhere.

Badam Halwa is a rich and delicious sweet made with almond paste, sugar and ghee. There is no sugar syrup consistency needed in making this Badam halwa. Is it not good news?!? Unlike other sweets, this Badam Halwa does not need a lot of ghee. I have posted a Badam Burfi recipe earlier. Its a microwave version. Kaju Katli is yet another favourite of mine. Try anyone of these if u are a fan of cashew/badam based sweets.

Chotu is a big fan of Motichoor Ladoo and it all started last year when we were on a vacation to India. He got attracted to these ladoos after watching Chota Bheem cartoon on TV. From then on he just loves it.
