  • Chop the cucumber, tomato (de-seeded) finely. Grate the carrot and keep it ready. Use a steamer or idli pot and steam the sprouts until cooked soft. I used my Tupperware steamer to cook it. This will hardly take 5 mins.

Tips:

  1. I have steam cooked the sprouts until it was soft but not mushy. U can half-cook it if u want it to be crunchy.
  2. The reason for de-seeding the tomato is to prevent it from letting out water.
  3. Make the Sprouts Salad just before serving.
  4. U can use other veggies like onion, boiled potato, capsicum, raw mango pieces, cooked peanuts etc…
  5. U can add juice from half a lemon.
  6. Chilli powder can be skipped or substituted with finely chopped green chillies.
  7. U can use store bought moong sprouts/mixed sprouts too.
