Pottukadalai Thuvaiyal is a super easy and quick thogayal recipe. Pottukadalai or Porikadalai is known as roasted gram dal in English. It tastes divine with rice and Puli Kaichal. This thuvaiyal tastes good with rice, keerai and puli kuzhambu too. This can be a handy option for bachelors. This does not involve any cooking at all as this does not even require tempering. Just grind a few ingredients and TADAA thuvaiyal ready.

Now to the recipe..

Tips:

  1. Adjust spice levels as per your preference. This needs more green chillies as the major quantity of Pottukadalai will make it a bland thuvaiyal otherwise.
  2. Do not add much water. This is meant to be thick.
  3. No tempering is needed.
