Paneer Kheer or Paneer Payasam is a super easy dessert that can be made in like 30 mins. One of my favourites, it actually tastes more like Basundi. With simple ingredients and procedure, the end result is just yumm! It is made using milk & crumbled paneer + sugar or condensed milk to sweeten it. I have used sugar here. Try this heavenly dessert for sudden cravings, just dont wait for an ocasssion. Check out the video.. Carrot Payasam is yet another favourite of mine. Check the recipe HERE.

[Preparation Time-5 mins : Cooking Time- 30 mins ]

Paneer Kheer Ingredients:

Method:

  • Heat a litre of milk in a sauce pan. Bring it to a boil and simmer for about 10 mins until the milk reduces to half the amount. Now add the sugar to it and mix well.

  • Now add crumbled paneer to it and mix well. Add the roughly chopped nuts. I just used my pestle and mortar to crush roughly.

  • Let the milk boil in simmer for a couple of minutes so that the paneer gets cooked. Finally add the cardamom powder and mix well. Switch off the flame.

Thats it! Yummy Paneer Kheer ready!

Serve warm or chilled as per your choice.

Tips:

  1. I have used fresh home made paneer. So used it as it is. If u are using store bought u can either crumble it or grate it and use.
  2. U can use saffron strands, rose water if u prefer for more flavour.
  3. Adjust sugar according to your preference. This amount was just right.
