Paneer balls are cute balls usually made with a combination of paneer & mashed potato. I wanted to try a different version and skipped the usually added mashed potatoes. So what did u add u ask? Scroll down to see 🙂  This is a much healthier version especially for kids. U can serve this as a snack once they are back from school..

  • Chopped Coriander – 1 tbsp
  • Maida – 1.5 tbsp
  • Chilli powder – 1 tsp
  • Salt as required
  • Oil – to fry

Method:

  • Heat milk in a pan and bring it to a boil. Add curd and keep stirring until it curdles and the whey water separates. Strain it in a strainer or muslin cloth until the whey water drains completely.

  • Take the nuts in a mixer and grind it to a coarse powder. Mix this with paneer along with salt, coriander leaves, maida & chilli powder and knead it to a soft dough.

Tips:

  1. Knead the crumbled paneer for 5 mins uniformly before adding the other ingredients.
  2. Ensure to cook in low-medium flame, else it will be brown outside and raw/uncooked inside.
  3. U can alternatively shallow/deep fry the paneer balls.
  4. In case the paneer balls break while frying add more maida or corn flour to the mixture and then proceed.
  5. I have used fresh home made paneer, u can grate store bought paneer and use the same.
