Idli Pakoda – Yes u read it right!! This recipe is about Idli Pakoda, made with left over idlis. Usually when I make idlis, atleast 4-5 idlis will be left over. Chotu loves pakodas especially Cabbage Pakoda and Palak Pakoda. So I tried this Idli Pakoda to impress him. Chotu could not even find out that idlis were hidden in it. I never told him as he hates idlis. Hehehehehe 🙂

Now to the recipe….

Tips:

  1. While mixing the ingredients and making small bite size dumplings for the idli pakoda, do it with light hands just to bring them together. Else the pakodas will be hard.
  2. Fry the pakodas in medium flame for a few minutes until golden brown. If over-fried they will become hard and difficult to bite.
  3. Making the pakodas the day after making idlis would yield best results as the moisture in the idlis would be less.
  4. U can skip green chillies and adjust chilli powder accordingly.
  5. No water is required to bind the idli pakoda mixture. If u are not able to bring it together pour a teaspoon of hot oil and mix.
  6. These pakodas will be crisp even after they get cold.
