Guacamole – How to make Guacamole

August 28, 2017 CondimentsDips/Sauce  No comments

I have become a fan of Mexican food recently. This Guacamole is my favourite so far. I had this a couple of times in a restaurant and wanted to try at home. I always used to stare at the avocados whenever we went shopping. Nothing came to my mind except for this milkshake. Now I really love the fruit and this dip. Got this recipe from a cook book. Its a very simple, no cook recipe. All u need to do is to scoop the fruit and add a few ingredients. Refreshing and yummy dip will be ready in no time.

Now to the recipe…

Guacamole Ingredients:

  • Avocado – 2 (ripe)
  • Onion – 1 small (finely chopped)

  • Coriander leaves – few
  • Lemon – 1/2
  • Salt – as needed

Method:

  • Halve the avocado. Remove the seed and scoop out the fleshy part with a spoon. Mash it with a fork.

  • Squeeze lemon juice to it. This helps to prevent the avocado from turning black. Add finely chopped onion, tomato, jalapeno, coriander leaves and salt. Mix to combine.

Thats it! Refreshing, yummy Guacamole is ready!

Serve with tortilla chips, nachos…

Tips:

  1. Choose ripe avocados. The ones that are black are perfect for this.
  2. I mashed the avocado with a fork. U can grind it for a creamier texture of Guacamole.
  3. U can use green chilles (de-seeded) instead of jalapeno.
