Ellu Thuvaiyal / Sesame Chutney is an easy and healthy chutney with sesame seeds. It pairs perfectly with Ulutham Paruppu Sadham which I had posted last week. No tempering is required as such for this ellu thuvaiyal. Thuvaiyal is normally a chutney that is in thick consitency, If u want to serve this with idli/dosa u can adjust the consistency accordingly.

Now to the recipe…

Serve it with Urad Dal Rice or idli/dosa too.

Tips:

  1. U can temper the chutney with mustard and urad dal if u want.
  2. Do not burn the sesame seeds while roasting, else ellu thuvaiyal will taste bitter.
