  • Kidney beans/Rajma – 1/4 cup
  • Onion – 2 small
  • Tomato – 2 small
  • Green Chilli – 1 (chopped)
  • Ginger – 1 inch (chopped)
  • Chilli powder  – 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
  • Garam Masala – 1/2 tsp
  • Salt – as needed
  • Butter – 2 tbsp
  • Cream – 2 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves – for garnishing

Method:

  • Soak the lentils and kidney beans overnight. Pressure cook along with ginger strips for 5-6 whistles. Its ok even if its overcooked as we need to mash it anyway.

Tips:

  1. Soaking the lentils is a must – atleast for 5-7 hrs.
  2. Do not skip to add ginger while cooking the lentils. It has a unique flavour.
  3. U can use oil instead of butter & skip cream if u do not want to add more calories.
