Chilli Parotta – Chilli Kothu Parotta

Chilli Parotta is a popular fast food/street food in TamilNadu. I would say the road side shops serve tastier Chilli Parotta than the restaurants. They call it Kothu Parotta. It is a mix of bite sized pieces of parotta along with onion, capsicum & sauces. It is very easy to make at home if u have frozen parottas in hand. U can add or have some Veg Kurma along with it too.

Now to the recipe..

Tips:

  1. U can add lemon juice before serving for a tangy flavour.
  2. Adjust spice levels according to your taste buds. I have used green chillies, chilli powder & pepper powder. U can skip any one of them. But a mix of all these gives a unique flavour.
  3. U can add tomatoes instead of tomato sauce.
  4. If u like to have egg parotta, u can beat eggs & add it in step 3, and cook until the eggs get scrambled. Then follow the rest of the procedure.
  5. U can deep fry the parottas too. But am sure nobody wants to do that!!
