I dont need any special occasion to make a dessert!! Do u?? This Badam Kheer is one such rich and creamy dessert that appeared in my kitchen for no reason  Though I have tasted it many times, never tried at home during recent times. It can be made with less effort too. The only job in this is to soak and peel the almonds. If u can get blanched almonds like me, this is a super-easy and quick treat for sudden cravings!!

Paal Kova / Sweet Milk Kova

October 24, 2013 Diwali SweetsGokulashtami RecipesSweets/Desserts  3 comments

Paal Kova is a popular and traditional South Indian sweet. The best place to get the authentic Paal Kova is from Alwarthirunagari. The process of making is simple, but it is a time consuming recipe. The taste is worth spending so much time.. I would suggest to use a heavy bottom pan, so that the milk does not get burnt at the bottom. U can leave the milk in simmer, stirring it in intervals. When I make Paal Kova, I plan it such a way that am in the kitchen (cooking something else too) so that u need to spend your time only making this.

Sweet Appam is a very easy to make sweet during festival seasons. This version does not require any soaking/grinding. You can make it with the usually available ingredients from your kitchen. U just need to mix some ingredients, and shallow fry it in a paniyaram pan. How cool is that?!?

Now to the recipe.
