Vadai is everybody’s favorite at home. This Bread Vada is an instant vada that can be made in just minutes. Unlike the normal traditional vada there is no soaking, grinding here!! It is a perfect after school snack or even for any parties. Bread is an ingredient that is always available at home. As usual I had a few slices of bread left over and ended up making these crispy Bread Vada. Why dont u try too?!?

Now to the recipe..

  • Mix well with your hands so that all the ingredients blend well to make a soft dough. U can add a few tbsps of water if you are not able to bring it together. Take a small ball sized dough and shape it like a vada. Make a hole in the centre.

Tips:

  1. Adding rice flour acts as a binding agent and gives crispness to the Vada.
  2. U can add finely chopped spinach leaves to make it more healthy too.
  3. I have used brown bread and white bread that was left over with me. U can use any bread.
  4. Do not make the Bread Vada very thick, else it will not get cooked inside properly.
  5. Make sure to cook in low-medium flame so that it gets cooked uniformly.
