Avocado Banana Smoothie – Avocado Smoothie

Avocado is totally new to me. This is the 1st time I am trying or tasting Avocados. Recently a friend of mine asked me “What to do with Avocados?” This question really triggered me to try something with this fruit. So bought some Avocados and tried this Avocado Smoothie. Saw this recipe in a magazine and modified it according to our taste buds. This Avocado Smoothie is a yummy and filling smoothie, making it ideal for breakfast!!
After some googling found out that Avocado is a very healthy fruit. It is full of healthy fats, high in potassium and fibre. The highlight is “It has zero cholesterol”
Now lets get to the smoothie!!
[Preparation Time-10 mins : Cooking Time- NIL]
Ingredients:
- Avocado – 1
- Banana – 1
- Milk – 1 cup
- Sugar – 2 tbsp
- Pistachio powder – 2 tbsp
Method:
- Halve the avocado. Remove the seed and scoop out the fleshy part with a spoon. Meanwhile chop the banana too.
- Take the chopped banana, avocado, milk, sugar and pistachio powder in a mixer and blend well unto smooth.
Thats it!! Avocado Smoothie is ready!!
Serve in tall glasses!!
Tips:
- U can skip sugar and add honey instead.
- Adding pistachio powder is totally optional. U can skip if u dont want.
- Select ripe avocados to make the Avocado Smoothie. To check if its ripe, press gently to find if its soft.
